Danielle Yamali began her legal career with Lerner, Arnold & Winston, LLP (LAW) in 2013 as a Law Clerk. She worked closely with LAW’s senior partners on all of the firm’s litigation work, including pre-trial discovery and motions. Danielle became a full-time Associate Attorney at LAW after receiving her Juris Doctor from Brooklyn Law School in 2014 and she continues to focus on both property damage litigation and personal injury case work. Danielle’s experience includes assisting with the authorship of appellate briefs, conducting depositions, second-chairing an adjacent construction trial, and successfully settling a Super Storm Sandy case at mediation.
While at Brooklyn Law School, Danielle was a Notes and Comments Editor of the school’s Journal of Corporate, Financial, and Commercial Law. She was also a member of the Foreclosure Legal Assistance Group (FLAG) and assisted homeowners, throughout Kings County, who were facing foreclosure. Danielle participated in the Corporate and Real Estate Clinic representing low-income cooperative boards of directors; working on loan closings, co-op unit closings, and attending shareholder meetings. She authored numerous by-law and proprietary lease amendments during her tenure with the Clinic. Danielle’s work with the Corporate and Real Estate Clinic as well as FLAG earned her a distinctive Brooklyn Law School Public Service Award.
Kickboxing helps Danielle stay sharp and focused in and out of the courtroom and living in New York City provides her with plenty of opportunities to enjoy attending concerts and theater productions.
